Tennessee Whiskey Sour

Tennessee Whiskey Sour

Whether you're hosting a party or looking for a little solo treat, every home bartender should have a whiskey sour recipe up their sleeve. It's a delicious blend of sweet and tangy flavours, with a strong whiskey bite.

We like to make it with the OG Jack Daniel's No. 7, but you can mix it up with a honey or triple mash, or make it a little fancy with Gentleman Jack.

Check out our Tennessee Whiskey Sour recipe below:

Instructions

  1. Combine whiskey, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice, then stir well
  2. Pour over ice in a tall glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry
  3. Serve and enjoy

Notes
For a richer, frothier finish, shake the mix with an egg white. If using egg white, shake all ingredients first (no ice) for about 30 seconds, then add ice and shake again.

Freshly squeezed lemon juice will always give the best flavour, but use what you have on hand.

You can prep the mix ahead of time (excluding the egg white) and store it in a covered pitcher. When ready to serve, pour over ice in a rocks glass and finish with a cherry or two.

Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is on special as part of our Barrel Bangers promotion this May (2026). Cheers to that!
